Cheap vs good splatter screen – big difference?

Hey guys, saw some splatter screens for frying pan for $8–10 and others for $25+. Is there really a noticeable difference in quality or are they all pretty much the same? I don’t want to waste money but also don’t want something that falls apart after a month. Experiences?

Big difference, unfortunately. The cheap ones usually have very thin mesh that bends out of shape after a few uses, the handle gets loose or too hot, and the coating starts flaking/rust appears fast. I went through three budget ones before switching to a thicker stainless model. It’s heavier, the mesh is tighter, and the rim is reinforced so it sits flat and stable. Cleaning is easier too – just rinse, no scrubbing needed. Been using the same one daily for almost 18 months and it looks barely used. This one has held up extremely well – splatter screen for frying pan . Worth paying a bit more for something that lasts years instead of months.
